Train4TradeSkills Smear BUSTED they were not on Watchdog

I received an interesting letter which originated from one of the highly respected legal firms in London. The letter is pictured below:

I am delighted to inform you that BBC Watchdog has now confirmed they will remove the references to the Train4TradeSkills business from their web site. They have specifically confirmed that Train4TradeSkills was not featured on the BBC Watchdog program.

So I took a trip over to the Watchdog site and sure enough the reference to Train4TradeSkills has gone! A SMEAR is BUSTED again.

Now a PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. For those that haven’t worked in the real media, the first thing we would have done is remove any references to Train4TradeSkills being on Watchdog and if we had done so there would also have been a well placed apology. In today’s world the consequences of retaining false claims have bigger ramifications and can be costly. I trust readers’ take on board that advice. When a SMEAR IS BUSTED you should remove any references to such a smear – you have been warned.

New Career Skills Misleading advertising says ASA

The Advertising Standards Agency has blasted New Career Skills for "Misleading advertising" and also "not to make misleading impressions about the potential for employment that might follow from the courses they offered."

The ASA reviewed the web site of New Career Skills and upheld five complaints regarding key claims on the site, one being "homeowners are no longer able to do their own electrical work, without it being signed off by a Part P registered electrician".

The ASA concluded: "We told New Career Skills not to make claims unless they held relevant documentary evidence to substantiate them. We also told them not to make misleading impressions about the potential for employment that might follow from the courses they offered."

Am I like everyone else in thinking that if a company can make so many mistakes it brings into question the entire business?
Right now training is needed by so many as they change careers, the very least people like New Career Skills can and should do is tell the truth. "Misleading advertising", as the ASA puts it is nothing short of a down right LIE.

BBC Smear Busted – The BBC in peril

Those that know me will understand the notion of this hack joining FaceBook is so against my principles you just cannot believe the pain it’s causing me.
So what is it that is SO IMPORTANT that I have taken the FaceBook shilling – answer the BBC.
So the report is coming out which will hail the end of the BBC because some idiots think it’s a good vote winner. WELL IT’S NOT!
This isn’t about top slicing the BBC it’s about killing off the world’s NUMBER ONE broadcaster.
Yes, the BBC have upset me but compared to the rest they have standards that others only dream of achieving. All this SMEAR about the BBC is purely to make sure what?
A more balanced broadcast arena for the British public? NO!
To save the British public money? NO! It will make viewing more expensive.

My advice to anyone interested in retaining a British Institution that has yet to be mirrored and certainly has not been equalled anywhere in the world is to vote with your pen. WRITE TO YOUR MP! Write to your local BBC with a letter of SUPPORT. Write to the BBC TRUST and SHOW YOUR SUPORT.

And join the ruddy FaceBook Group and get all your friends to do the same.

Guys wake up and smell the coffee; we all know the media loves to kick the establishment, mainly due to the fact that it’s easier to kick than actually do!
I URGE YOU ALL NOT TO SMEAR THE UK with fascist parties when elections come up just because you are angry about the present system. That’s exactly what is happening and some of the do-gooder media are responsible!!!
Look, sure they [MPs] have screwed up and got caught with there fingers in the till. But better the devil you know, really.
If you don’t vote in elections or vote for one of the extreme left or right loony parties you are SMEARING THE UK. Remember the phrase, will the last Brit please turn the light off when they leave the UK? What you will do by voting for the loony parties is drive the very people the UK needs out of the country and if these lunatic groups actually gain political power you’ll be subjecting the UK to TOTAL MELTDOWN.All I will say is this; FOR GOODNESS SAKE VOTE for a sensible party. I don’t care which one Labour, Tory, LibDem it makes no difference, but at least vote for one of them to keep the lunatic fringes out!

Hello English Pug – SMEAR BUSTER?

Oh dear oh dear, seems I’ve rattled some feathers on a forum.
It seems they are claiming I released “personal details” on my little Blog and for that reason people should complain to Google about me. PAH!
Can’t you read lad? And what makes your comment so rich is that you frequent a place that seems happy to release personal details of people with those posting the information hiding behind Mummies Apron - you sound like those idiots on the original UK CB system that used 'handles', like the authorities didn't know who they were.
By the way, have you never heard of a pen name? Clearly, you haven’t.
The truth is I was well respected by journalists but editors wouldn’t touch me, as I was very outspoken about issues rather like the present Telegraph stories. However, my time was before it was fashionable to be as honest as some editors are today.
I took up a pen name to enable me to carve out a living, which was a waste of time though as I do believe that SMEAR SHOULD BE BUSTED!
So I walked away from the career I held in such high esteem to work in a totally unrelated business sector where my skills of digging for the truth were very much appreciated and welcomed. Now I’m in a position where I can back out from the hum drum life and have enough resources now to continue with my first love.
So if you want to take a pop at me; BRING IT ON!
Now to one of your points, my previous career gave me totally legit access to places like Companies House and even more juicy places. One of your mates mates wrote to me saying he was doing some research, well all he needs to do is pay for it to be done. That’s what we did and where my skills were used.
So I stand by that which I wrote! Come on Lad, do you really think Shaun would admit to being who he is? No, as that would destroy him. I had no reason to damage his future, he might have kids and I would never hurt kids, which is why I left the full details reserved.
By the way, thanks for highlighting the typo, fixed TAR! Let’s hope others follow you and come over here to get the other side of this SMEAR CAMPAIGN.
I’ll always be happy to respond here. The reason I say that is your places are a bit like those inane phone-ins where the so-called star cuts you off when they don’t like your point of view. So for that reason people will find the SMEAR BUSTED HERE!

Skillscentre is no longer in operation either. We know why you left but we’re not going to tell everybody. Have you tried Home Learning or CIS?

Alas, this is the classic course a smear campaign takes. A group throws up accusations that, when subjected to scrutiny, prove to be full of holes.

Thank you this, I hadn't seen this site but certainly worth a look. Anyone interested in a piece called The Anatomy Of A Smear Campaign hit the link.
It's well written and clearly shows how a smear campaign can easily be orchestrated. It does echo, thanks Catherine, that using push technology (please see lead column on the left of the blog, for push read the parts about linking posts together) is a very easy way to confuse people looking at search engines for answers. The site itself has enough power to appear high within search engines so that's a REALLY COOL find - thank you!
